Red Orange's Client is a company that specializes in the Packaging industry and is looking for Senior Prodution Planning Specialist high qualified candidate for the position at the moment.
- Working Location: Long An
- Working Schedule: 8am- 5pm Mon - Fri & 2 optional Sat each month.
- Salary: 40mil gross

MAIN DUTIES:
Tactical Planning (3–6 months)
Track new product development and set planning targets based on the latest door dates provided by HQ.
Lead the New Product Development (NPD) forum and oversee progress through the 7-phase development process.
Ensure readiness for mass production, including specification release, production reviews, layout approval, sample testing, BOD and HQ approvals, and procurement of materials and spare parts.
Coordinate closely with the Production and Engineering teams to:
Assess machine suitability for new products.
Identify any new equipment requirements or increased demand for existing resources.
Ensure that customer layouts are fully developed and approved, and that the complete production specification is available before initiating packaging planning or procurement activities.
Bi-weekly update of raw material demand and forecasting.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to support special or non-standard purchase requests from HQ, such as urgent trial orders or new product launch requirements.
Review FB capacity and requirements based on BM demand; assess risks of over/under capacity.
Operational Planning (1–3 months)
Assess resource requirements including die heads, slitting knives, printers, and printing cylinders.
Mitigate risks due to logistics disruptions.
Align preliminary FB MPS for 2 weeks to 1 month based on capacity.
Revise FB MPS using monthly actual output data.
Calculate safety stock demand for semi-finished goods.
FB Scheduling (3–10 days)
Monitor daily output, efficiency, downtime, and label status (OK, Not OK, or Verification required for semi-finished goods).
Track actual product changes and revise FB MPS based on efficiency trends.
Trigger cross-functional support (Production, Engineering, Maintenance) for low-output products (<80% efficiency for 3 consecutive days).
Maintain machine stability and minimize changeovers (target: maximum 10% of total FB machines changed per day).
Create daily FB plans with fixed demand quantities to reduce overproduction and material waste.
Highlight the next 2-day product mix and adjust plans to mitigate disruptions (e.g., machine, material, or output issues).
Advise Engineering on testing schedules to ensure no impact on shipping plans.
Planning Database Management
Extract, transform, and analyze raw data from product specifications to support planning.
Maintain critical product information including article codes, MR/DT profile codes, mixture codes, and packaging codes.
Calculate MR consumption and define machine targets.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, logistics, and GB/FC schedulers to ensure alignment across planning activities.
Escalation Protocols
Escalate machine issues, material shortages, and efficiency risks to relevant departments and the Planning Manager.

Job Requirement
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in production planning and demand forecasting.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, MRP/ERP systems and planning tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Fluent in English – written and verbal.
Benefits
- Unless otherwise agreed, the standard working time is 48 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs and shall be compensated in accordance with the Company’s policies and the working time provisions under the Labor Code.
