Job Description

Red Orange's Client is a company that specializes in the Packaging industry and is looking for Planning Manager high qualified candidate for the position at the moment.

  • Working Location: Long An
  • Working Schedule: 8am- 5pm Mon - Fri & 2 optional Sat each month.
MAIN DUTIES:

1. Customer Service & Order Management

  • Receive orders directly from buyers and take responsibility for confirming accurate shipping schedules.

  • Check overall production capacity and the supply status of components, spare parts, and raw materials before making commitments.

  • Negotiate shipping timelines with buyers when necessary; provide weekly updates on PO status to buyers.

  • Review overdue orders and proactively coordinate resolution with buyers.

  • Plan proactively to avoid leftover stock; if avoidance is not successful, collaborate with customers to clear remaining stock and minimize deadstock.

  • Address buyer requests and concerns promptly to ensure high service quality.

2. Demand & Capacity Management & MPS Alignment

  • Analyze demand versus capacity deeply to ensure stable machine scheduling and timely delivery.

  • Report machine occupation schedules to support optimal cross-departmental planning.

  • Collaborate closely with HQ in Germany to align production and shipping plans with capacity and delivery goals.

  • Align company-wide Master Production Schedule (MPS) for a long-term horizon of 3+ months for garbage bags and food bags.

  • Develop detailed Bag Making (BM) machine plans to minimize setup/conversion times and ensure timely delivery.

  • Distribute weekly BM machine plans to relevant departments; release MPS to the planning team for daily production scheduling.

  • Review actual output weekly and adjust master plans accordingly in a timely manner.

3. MRP Control, Packaging Forecast & Shipping Plan

  • Align packaging planning baiming at demand and production status; coordinate with the warehouse to validate actual stock data.

  • Analyze packaging material variances (losses and surplus) thoroughly to determine open stock levels and reduce deadstock.

  • Submit packaging POs and forward forecasts to the Purchasing Team.

  • Proactively prevent leftover packaging stock; if unavoidable, collaborate with HQ to clear remaining stock.

  • Calculate loading demand per destination; strategically build Finished Goods (FG) stock to maximize container utilization and reduce shipping costs.

  • Prepare and submit a 3-month forward-looking loading forecast to the Logistics team monthly, and release weekly actual loading plans.

4. Delivery Performance, Reporting & Team Leadership

  • Proactively communicate PO delays to HQ in Germany to align and agree on revised delivery dates.

  • Analyze monthly delivery performance, including detailed reports on on-time and delayed shipments, to find improvement solutions.

  • Submit detailed management reports to HQ and the Board of Directors via email periodically.

  • Lead, train, and develop the planning team (including senior planning staff and schedulers), ensuring effective collaboration and high performance.

  • Execute other tasks assigned by superiors.

  • Other benefits are provided as stipulated in the Collective Labor Agreement and the Labor Contract of the company.

Job Requirement

1. Education & Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Strong command of data analysis tools, material requirements planning systems (MRP/ERP), and advanced production planning tools.

2. Professional Experience:

  • At least 8–10 years of experience in production planning and demand forecasting.

  • A minimum of 3 years in a senior managerial role (Manager/Head level) in large-scale manufacturing environments (Experience in factories operating under international BRC or strict quality management standards is highly preferred).

3. Core Skills:

  • Fluent in English – both written and verbal (excellent communication skills to work directly with German HQ).

  • Excellent analytical thinking, data interpretation, and strategic decision-making skills based on figures.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills; robust cross-functional collaboration capabilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities effectively, and meet tight deadlines in an industrial manufacturing environment.

4. Behavior, Attitude & Professionalism:

  • Serious, honest, and highly professional working manner with a strict sense of information confidentiality; fully comply with company regulations and laws.

  • Lead by example in showing respect to superiors and colleagues; build a cheerful, harmonious, open-minded spirit, and be willing to learn for self-development.

  • Maintain strict labor discipline, respect factory working hours, and ensure punctuality (no late arrivals or early departures).

  • Maintain order and a professional environment at the workplace; do not cause noise that affects others' performance, and strictly no gathering for eating/drinking during working hours.

POSITION AUTHORITY:

  • Have the right to request other departments to coordinate or provide information, documents, reports, or perform assigned tasks in accordance with their expertise.

  • Take proactive action and responsibility for solving operational matters within the assigned scope and rights, and report to the direct manager.

  • Propose innovations and improvements regarding workflow and optimization to the Board of Directors.

  • Have the right to refuse unlawful requirements or those against the company charter; right to refuse tasks in case of an unsafe working environment or when not equipped with adequate labor safety devices.

  • Have the right to report directly to higher-level management or the General Director in cases where an issue has been reported but the immediate supervisor fails to address it or provides no respons
