Job Description

Red Orange's Client is a company that specializes in the High-end Furniture industry and is looking for a TECHNICAL FINISHING MANAGER high qualified candidate for the position at the moment.

  • Working location: Binh Duong Province
  • Salary: $2000 (gross)
  • Report to: Indian Manager

MAIN TASKS:

1. On time service to production & other departments (70%)
  • Review WW Aof PP & SP, assign technician, review finished PP & SP, approve system sheet & issue to production
  • Align with the customer’s expectations, ME drawings, quality standards when making PP, confirm PP checklists
  • Make sure all system sheets are approved by Sherwin R&D and application team before mass production 
  • Conduct Gemba walk in production lines & make action plans for improvement
  • Approve FOP and confirm FOP checklist & the system sheet in production. 
  • Manage PP Library and organize the refreshing plan 
  • Support the testing panel’s preparation. 
  • Update refreshing information of panels. 
  • Troubleshooting online with proper recording of root cause and solution and training
  • Do ECR for CAP if needed
  • Continuous improvement actions, like improving color consistency, finishing cost, finishing chemical consumption, and finishing process/color rationalization. 
  • Lead cost saving project, testing & trials
  • Communicate effectively on time with other departments
  • Visual management systems 
  • Daily catch-up meetings
  • Attend production meeting & project meetings as needed

2. Manage Technical Finishing Team (30%)
  • Drive efficiency & continuous improvement within the team
  • Provide adequate training to all technicians 
  • Establish & implement simple & transparent key actions to different teams
  • Evaluate team performance & efficiency on daily basis
  • Ensure on time service to other departments by delegating different tasks to the team
  • Make sure supervisors, team leaders and technicians are aware about their RACI 
  • Establish simple & measurable KPIs which align with company’s KPIs
  • Conduct performance appraisal for the team
  • Motivate the team & maintain the talent.

Job Requirement

1. Education background

  • Education & Major: College/ University major in Polymer chemistry
  • License & Certificate    

2. Foreign language and computer skills

  • English level: Good
  • Computer skills and/or software: Basic computer hardware and software common skills

3. Professional knowledge

  • Very good knowledge about different finishing techniques like NC, MPU, PU, UV,…
  • Good capability of judging color
  • Employee training and managing
  • Trouble shooting skillsLeadership & time management

4. Professional experience

  • No. of general work experience: 8-10 years
  • No. of related work experience: 6 years

5. Competencies

  • Communication, presentation and documentation capabilities
