- Working location: Thu Duc City.
- Salary: Negotiable
- Report to Indian VP
Job Summary:
The Production Manager oversees the production process in a manufacturing environment. They plan, coordinate and direct the manufacture of products and monitor production to ensure efficiency, quality and that schedules are adhered to. They arrange for repairs and maintenance of equipment, implement safety and health regulations, study and implement continuous improvement processes, develop production and quality control standards, anticipate and solve problem areas, and make sure products meet customer specifications. Production Managers are responsible for the day-to-day running of the production facility, and the productivity and morale of the staff.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation, production, quality
- Receive the order plan and order sheet from the senior authorities.
- Prepare textile and apparel production plans weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Receive material status against each order and will monitor the progress of material received.
- Receive an approved sample, swatch card against the order sheet.
- Ensure that apparel production lines are properly balanced for target output.
- Coordinate with the quality manager so that defective or faulty goods are not produced.
- Provide job assignments to supervisors and other subordinates.
- Have a pre-production sample prepared and compared with the originally approved sample.
- Ensure to pursue the right works, quality, and maintenance standards.
- Ensure that materials are organized at each stage of processing.
- Make arrangements for the right line layout or machine layout.
- Organizes pre-production meetings or pre-production activities to discuss related issues.
- Approve the commencement of production against a work order.
- Monitor the progress of production against the production plan.
- Take countermeasures if the progress of textile or apparel production is not satisfactory.
- Coordinates with all the concerns so that clothing or textile production progresses as per plan.
Discipline, safety, 6S
- Arrange for proper documentation of all the activities on the floor.
- Ensure that the floor, machinery, toilet, dining spaces is neat and clean.
- Ensure that all workstations are properly illuminated.
- Take care of the worker’s safety and welfare.
- Ensure that all the machinery is equipped with protective devices.
- Be responsible for ensuring discipline on the floor.
- Ensure that a congenial atmosphere exists on the floor.
Workforce
- Make the right evaluation of the performance of his subordinates.
- Inspires unites employees for better works, better motivation.
- Arrange for continuous training of helpers and operators.
- Handle employee issues and enforce safety regulations.
- Make the best efforts to create a congenial work environment which is called a “win-win situation”.

Authority and Working Relationships:
- The Production Manager reports to the VP Production. The Production Manager is a senior management position with authority to collaborate with all department managers and company employees.
- Supervision Exercised: The Production Manager is responsible for production officers, sewing line, cutting
- Primary Contacts: The Production Manager will work closely with the Leadership Team, as well as all department managers. External relationships include benefits partners and government contacts.
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Garment technology or related field require.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of garment industry management experience preferred, showing increasing responsibility and authority. Experience in a same industry is required.
- Excellent planning, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate; Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations; Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices; Knowledge of performance evaluation and databases preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills required; MS Office Suite skills required.
Benefits
- Compensation: Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Personal Leave: 12 days per year, plus 1 day for each successive 5 years; 11 holidays per year; subject to changes in Vietnam labor law.
- Benefits: Private Health Insurance. Lunch provided 6 days a week.
