PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Red Orange Headhunt's Client is a company that specializes in The Furniture Industry who is looking for PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER high qualified candidates for position at the moment.

• Work at: Ho Chi Minh City
• Salary: $3000 - $5000 (willing to negotiate)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate detailed manufacturing drawings in Solid works based on industrial designs, sketches and samples in a timely manner.
• Lead vendor sampling, testing through product launch.
• Resolve product issues by addressing process and structural issues with the factory, identify and execute cost engineering projects with operations.
• Technical support and troubleshooting during pilot & mass production run.
• Involve project meeting and keep projects tracking records.
• Source suppliers (if needed) for sample development.
• Manage development of samples, including complete sample tracking process, to ensure samples arrive on-time to meet calendar deadlines.
• Report to CEO the progress of product development with images, reports.
• Be the primary point of communication between product team and manufacturers on all development details.
• Communicate construction details, drawings, dimensions, and material specifications to vendors and suppliers.
• Oversee all qualities aspect during pilot/ mass production.
• Organize production with BOMs and QC Checklists.
• Report all exceptions and issues in the shared calendar.
• Propose/recommend improvement solutions in re-arranging production process.
• Other duties as assigned.

DEVELOPMENT:

• Develop new products with suppliers.
• Develop new systems to ensure the production process is optimized.
• Coordinating between suppliers for correct and smooth product development.
• Work closely and strongly with suppliers and their staff.

• Western Expat (Ideally, English as the first language), American/British working style
• Work both in the office and at factory
• Provide AutoCAD drawings within 2 working days
• Can read the drawings
• Have design mindset – US/UK style is preferable
• Well-organized
• Have technical knowledge (i.e. furniture construction)
• Willing to go to factories in Binh Duong and meet suppliers
• At least 3 year-experience in construction engineering
• Experience in furniture construction
• Experience working with US, UK or Europe based companies is a PLUS
• Experience working with subcontractors
• Experience with MDF/HDF and Metal (inox and brass)
• Well organized in PLANNING sample production
• Able to work under high pressure to meet tight deadlines

• Salary range: $3000 - $5000 (willing to negotiate)
